Stony Creek House
Architect: Adriano Bonomi Architecture
Photography: Marnie Hawson
Stylist: Belle Hemming of Belle Bright Project
Scope: New construction
Overlooking Stony Creek and the surrounding valleys, this extraordinary new home is anchored to the ground using Rammed Earth sourced from Mansfield, which in some areas is up to one metre in thickness. On the exterior, the use of Corten steel gives a rusted, patina look that sits perfectly alongside the naturally weathered recycled Ironbark timber cladding. The aesthetic design of this home provided some challenges along the journey, particularly with the twisted roof and Ironbark cladded ceilings, yet it was extremely rewarding and an honour to build this truly remarkable home.
